Kalku iela is one of Riga’s longest streets, which was merged with Brīvības iela and Brīvības bulvāris, and is located in the medieval Old Town of Riga, Latvia.

The Chimneysweeper House – a retail house with apartments located at Kalku iela 6, which was built in the 18th century, later rebuilt in 1896 and reconstructed in 2004.

Our El Gaucho restaurant is a 2-floor corner location, located inside this famous historical building. Philippe Halsman, who lived in this house until 1929, was known as one of the world’s ten greatest photographers in 1958. Numerous works of his have appeared in several popular cover magazines including Vouge, Time Magazine, Life Magazine and many more.

Designed with floor to ceiling glass windows, surrounding the entire restaurant, the atmosphere is cozy and open at the same time.
